Day 9

We drove around Baton Rouge checking out mikes memories of filming bad country there we went to zia for their amazingly yummy Mediterranean hummus and then we drove straight through Mississippi. The 55 hi way (as some billboards read) is very different from the 10 - still two lanes both sides but oh so green and lush. We hit two big rain patches outside Jackson and then again in the middle of no where. Trees and more trees - so glad we didn't drive it at night. You could see how different Mississippi is confederate flags on billboards for local places - a radio station that plays a man reading the bible and then talking about how horrible certain lifestyles are we promptly changed the station didn't want the girls to hear - we decided not to stay overnight we barely stopped and we drove straight through to memphis. Because we were tired and it was so late and the hotels are all booked we spent more then we should at the Sheraton but it is oh so nice and the indoor pool was such a treat at 10 pm - today we will live cheaply - but oh this bed is so comfortable.
